GPS Trail completed off-road. How do you get it recognized.

I created a GPS trail on a data set map and went back to it and tried to use
the new GPS trail as part of the new(actual) route to access an off-road
tower site. But it will not recognize this GPS Trail. Please tell me this
attempted function is do-able??.

I'd like to, but it's not.
You can either use the same map so the GPS trail is still visible, or
just use the navigation to get to the start of the road, with a marker
at the tower for which it will use "local roads".
