Ahoy, Microsoft Streets and Trips,

The 'Keep Position Centered' feature should permit the placement to be
changed. At least, depressed from center when on 'rotate map to follow
travel direction'. The primary interest is in things ahead, not behind.

My very early impression ~~two years ago was that this feature is needed.
Have any of your programmers ever driven a vehicle, much less used this
program on a trip???

I thought so too. Then I decided I was zoomed in too close, even
though one might just be driving too fast.

You should've been here when the GPS update rate was 15 seconds...

They fixed that, and fucked up something else.

Nature of the beast, I'm afraid.

You may consider reposting the above suggestion also to the 'Wish List' @
http://www.laptopgpsworld.com/wish-list-microsoft-streets-trips/

It's read my Microsoft, and some suggestions posted there in the past have
been implemented in new versions of Streets & Trips.
