That is my annoyance

I have a map - call it Arlington - which has a lot of 'local' map-pins
and such. It is the one when I'm figuring travel times from here, to
there, with a stop along the way "... looks like we need to leave at
10."

Anyway, when I open it up - dead center in the map is the town of
Iloilo, Panay, Philipines Island. Annoying - as this map has no road
net on it, either.

Is there anyway to "teach" streets and trips that I do not want to
start in the middle outback on the way to the bundocks in the
Philippines?

There used to be an option in the settings to change the "home"
location/default view.

Not finding that, will try more later.

In S&T 2013:
Set your map view to where you want to see it when opening the program,
then,

Click Tools>Options>'Map' Tab,
Under the 'Default application settings'
Click 'Save current settings'
Click 'Save now' button

The next time you open S&T it should go to the map view.

That didn't work. Fnord.

I wound up exporting all the pushpins, and creating a new map. It
worked.

Nerts - that doesn't work in S&T 2010.
