Error Code

Bought S & T, CD wouldn't load, so I downloaded it and registered product
key. Messages says it was properly registered. Opened up the program maybe 4
or 5 times over the next few days, no problem.

Next time i go to open, I get an error message "A licensing initialization
error has occurred. please contact customer service for assistance. Error
0xC004D301"

Long story short, Microsoft wants the product no (different from the key)
and only way to get it is from the About menu on the program, but i can't
open up the program to get it. Catch 22.

Can anyone help me on this?

I never did call (and never will call) because Microsoft wants me to pay $35
before they even give me a number to call. So I'm supposed to pay $35 to
Microsoft for software I paid $30 for to figure out what's wrong with their
software right out of the box. Typical Microsoft BS.

What number did you call? Was it [phone]? That's the number I
called when I had a problem getting S&T 2008 to run and they didn't ask
me for $35.00.
