I have had this issue a number of times but today it is really too much.
Even though I activated it the day I installed the program I have had a
window pop up saying "Your trial period has expired. To continue using S&T
you must activate the program now." Today I have done it three times. First
on-line then by phone then on-line.

Any suggestions? I can't even find a number to call to ask the question.

Thanks
Steve

Yeah, search the group before you post not including your version of
S&T and system information.

Which version of S&T is this? I know that the 2008 version had this
problem, but a call to Microsoft and they would do a patch to the
software to correct it.

I am experiencing similar problem with S&T 2010 (17.00.18.2200). However,
the frequency has picked up since latest XP patch was installed , causing
daily Requests to Activate. Am currently re-downloading setup installation
and plan to re-install, but is there a known problem?

Thanks in advance,
Wain

FYI - I downloaded another installation file and re-installed this evening.
Same problem exists - hoping to contact someone at MS who can help. I still
think it's a patch update causing this problem.

I am having the same issue, windoze 7 and new MS S&T, just received in mail
today. Called help line, automated, ran me thru activation process again,
and I still cannot open the program. Tried to open an older map I had run in
2010 trial version, and ditto, it wants me to activate my account. This is
maddening, I never had this problem with my 2009 version. Uninstalled it,
reinstalled, tried the dlowload from MS site, no go on anything. Isn't there
a REAL person to talk to at MS about these issues?

"Real" as in "English speaking"...?

Seriously, if you'd released Win7, would you want to stop counting
your money to talk about it?

Releasing software increases revenue. Supporting software decreases
revenue. No different than any other manufacturer: We got your money,
now go fuck yourself.
