Portsmouth - Le Havre Ferry Ignored

Althougth the Autoroute 2010 maps show the ferry from Portsmouth to Le
Havre as a dotted line across the Channel, if I ask for directions from
Portsmouth to Paris I get:

Portsmouth to Dover
Calais to Le Havre
Ferry Le Havre to Portsmouth
Ferry Portsmouth to Caen
Drive Caen to Paris

This is ridiculous; what am I doing wrong?

It gets worse.
I plan a trip to europe returning on the ferry from
Bilbao to Portsmouth. Autoroute 2010 suggests:
Ferry Bilbao to Plymouth
Ferry Plymouth to Brittany
Drive Brittany to Calais
Ferry Calais to Dover
Drive Dover to Portsmouth !!

This is the first time that I have used this program,
it arrived today. Have Microsoft released a version
that takes the piss?
